With today's world of uncertainty, whom can you trust to give you honest
guidance with our children?
We created Parent’s Universal Resource’s in an effort to make parents aware
of what techniques are being used as well as the misrepresentation that exists
in today's Internet world. Parent’s Universal Resource’s has taken time to
visit, investigate and help with the confusion that many parents are faced with
during a desperate time.
Although Parent’s Universal Resource’s has not reviewed all schools and
programs, the ones that we have approved, are schools where we would put our
own children. We believe first hand experience can be priceless in helping
parents with at risk children.
As a member of the Better Business Bureau,
Parent’s Universal Resource’s has a reputation to uphold. We will continue to
keep our high standards in helping families.
Many of our approved schools and programs are compensating Parent’s Universal
Resource’s for our time and efforts to assist families. Unlike what many assume,
the cost of the program or school is not
increased by a referral from Parent’s Universal Resource’s. These are schools
and programs of integrity and trust; they are pro-family and will only accept
the child they feel they can help. Their tuition fees are the same whether you
use Parent’s Universal Resource’s or find them on your own.
We pride our organization with the many
satisfied families, as well as successful students. Our
Testimonial Page
is a small example of the letters we receive daily.
I am sure many of you have surfed the Internet and are totally confused by
all the pop-ups, the wonderful websites, the sales reps, the constant
in-your-face repetition of the same programs over and over, as well as
the promises of success.
Since we are not as large as many
organizations, you probably found our website by accident. For those of you that
don't understand the Internet Sponsorship, you may want to review it.
Some of the largest Search Engines have Sponsored
Listings. Sponsored Listings are
given to the highest bidders, not always the best alternatives. You will usually
find that many of them are very misleading or are the same groups that have
dominated the sponsorship. Since money is an obvious motivator, many Search
Engines will not take the time to research what the sponsored listings are
creating or misrepresenting. If you read the definition of sponsored listings,
many claim they are not recommending the URL, however it is a paid
advertisement.
An example of this is: when parents type in "Military Schools" for a search,
they are usually led to anything but a Military School. Although some actual
Military Schools will be listed, many will not. The actual Military Schools and
Boarding Schools are being forced to pay outrageous fees to stay in the top 6 of
a search. Many traditional Boarding Schools and Military Schools are not
budgeted to absorb such tremendous marketing fees. Parents are not able to fully
review many very good schools due to this type of costly sponsorship. It is a
shame that this continues and that there is no regulation put in place. The
people that suffer are you, the consumers, while Search Engines and these large
organizations that specialize in marketing, gain monetarily.
Parents Universal Resources has made it their business to know the business
of this industry that involves our children. Although our children are
struggling, getting out of control, have a learning difference; they all need an
opportunity to become all they can be. As a parent, we only want the best for
our child. When we are desperate, we make desperate
decisions. Don't get caught up in desperate situations. Try to take your time
and do a thorough research of what is best for your family and child's needs.
Use extreme caution with the Internet and the fancy websites with spamming.
At Parents Universal Resources, we always recommend local services prior
residential placement. It is important to try as many avenues at home as
possible before making the decision of placement. Finding a local therapist and
support group is a good way to start. Summer programs can be a beneficial way
to help a child that is starting to make bad choices.
Parent’s Universal Resources is here
today, and will be here for many more years to come. We are growing and
succeeding in making a difference in the families we touch.

Transporting a Teen - The Escort Service
Many parents have very valid concerns regarding transporting their child to a
program, as well as questions to how it will affect their child.
Parent’s Universal Resource’s would like
to take a moment to reassure you that if you are using an approved transport
service (visit our Approved Escort Services List, link below), you are using
professionals that are licensed and insured to transport teens. Many Transport
organizations do not carry the liability coverage needed to transport troubled
teens. Most liability insurance can be very costly, however your child is
priceless and should not be with an uninsured transport service.
Escorting can be a very good experience if handled with the right
transporter. Many of the teens, deep down, are crying out for help, and it is
almost a relief for them to be removed from their negative environment. Many of
the teens actually find a new friend with their transport (s), and in most
cases, there are no problems. Many parents are amazed at how calming this can be
with the right professionals.
The transport companies we recommend will
transport to safe programs. If a parent calls and asks to place a
child into a program that the transport is not comfortable with, they
will pass on the transport. We are about
putting families and children's safety in front of financial gain. The
transports we recommend feel the same way. They treat your child like it is
their own. They will be in constant contact with you from your first call until
your child is safely transported to their school or program. This is what you
want, a feeling of comfort and assurance that your child is
in safe hands, from beginning to their destination.
